We got to lay down this orchestral arrangement of U2’s rock hit Elevation. Performed by The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra for the Charlotte Bobcats (now Charlotte Hornets) NBA in-arena live performance.

We were once again asked to score the American Advertising Awards. We wanted to build the score using sounds from the Rube Goldberg Machine that was built to represent the show theme, “The Journey”. Merging these captured elements with guitar, piano and other traditional instrumentation, we scored the show open, and built interstitials for the entire awards reel. Video by Mode.

We were honored to work with world renowned artist Mel Chin and his team of designers and scientist to pack the transition of 100 years of Panama Canal influenced ocean sounds into 10 minutes of sound design. Mel does a wonderful job in this video to explain the piece and the conversation he is hoping to create. We were very excited to have been asked to update the sound for a version 2.0!

Volume 1 of a music video series – Played By Hausman – feat. Dan Hood (Groundcrew Sound, The Blue Dogs), for CLT CreativeMornings.

We were asked to produce a few pieces where Hot Sake lead composer Jason Hausman would perform a business or product, then compose a piece of music from the sounds. They knew this was right up Jason’s alley as it is one of the more requested things he does for film scoring and commercial music.

We suggested that we feature a new solo artist for each one. We brought in Cinematographer Ben Premeaux (HBO, Dreamville) to shoot and direct this project. The first location is Not Just Coffee.

All sounds (except piano, pedal steel and guitar) are from Not Just Coffee.

First of all, CreativeMornings Charlotte is awesome! So, when they handed out flyers at a meeting and said, “please post pics of these when you are doing sometime creative”, I decided to do something creative WITH the actual flyer. This little ditty ended up being sent out to 170+ CreativeMornings chapters all over the world.

This is a teaser of composer Jason Hausman, as he teams up with Cinematographer Ben Premeaux and the new creative complex CAMP North End to create a musical and cinematic art piece where Hausman will perform the various 100+ year old buildings on-site at CAMP North End.
